Great collars!!

ATC New LCD Remote Shock/Vibrate Dog Training Collar -2 Dog Reviews

These collars are great!! You can “alert” each dog individually and switch between dogs easily and quickly. Assembly was simple and quick right out of the box. I had almost instant results with both of my min pins who had decided not to listen when outside unleashed. I love the fact that you can vibrate the collar instead of shocking-and you can change the intensity. Or you can just use a beep to get the dogs attention. Both of my dogs respond to the beep to get their attention and if needed respond well to the vibration. Its nice to not have to use the static “shock” unless REALLY necessary. Because of the ability to change between intensitys and individualize it for each dog, these collars could be used on any size dog. The shipping was very fast and customer service was excellent!! I would highly recommend these collars to anyone who wants to aid in training a couple of stubborn pooches!!

Training 2 dogs

Dog Training Collar with Shock and Vibration Corrections for Effective Training of 2 Dogs-Featuring Shock and Vibration for Individual Dog Reviews

We were really hesitant about getting “shock collars” for our two dogs but got to the point we felt we had no choice. We live in a rather sprawling subdivision in the country and have always let our Jack Russell Max run out to go and do his business but when the weather is nice he will cruise the neighborhood, chasing squirrels, deer, bunnies and whatever else his little Jack Russell brain tells him to do, much to the agravation of us and our neighbors. Our newly aquired Daschund started copying him and developing her own bad habits of not returning when called. Max also gets worked up in the house sometimes and barks at the door until we let him out, then immediately barks at the door until we let him in.

Anyway, we first put the collar on Max and waited for him to start barking. When he did, a firm “no” followed by a vibrate mode immediately did the trick, he shook his head and stopped barking. We had to do this 2 or 3 times in the first few days but now he doesn’t bark at all, if he trys, a simple “no” quiets him right down.

The 2nd step was to get Max to come back in when we called him and his mind was set on chasing rabbits. We let him out and he immediately ran for the hills, chasing something real or imaginary. We called him to no avail and hit the vibrate mode with no response. Didn’t want to, but hit the first shock mode (he was at least 250 feet away and running full tilt) and heard a yelp. Yelled at him to come and he came back immediately. Had to do this a few other times when he gets focused, but he mostly goes out, does his business, and comes right back. This is after 7 years of fighting trying to get him to come in.

And the lil weiner is usually good but trys to run a little too. When she doesn’t respond usually just a vibrate will turn her right around. One time she took off for the neighbors back yard and we also had to use shock level 1. She yelped but came right back and hasn’t gone there since.

So the bottom line is we haven’t had to use them much but have had amazing response in behavour from them.

Oh and by the way, they both worked perfectly right out of the box, everything was fully charged, and when they quit working the charger works great.

I would definitely recommend this product. Please do some research of how to train your dogs using the collars and please use restraint with the shocks (and install the rubber boots on the rods) and please don’t let little kids or anyone irresponsible in charge of them. If used appropriately they should yield great results.

Lentek Bark Free

Lentek Bark Free Dog Training Device Reviews

I was skeptical that the Lentek Bark Free would help with my dog’s barking, but I was at my wit’s end and willing to try anything. She barked at anything she saw, heard, or THOUGHT she saw or heard. I placed the unit on our patio, and the first time her barking set it off, she stopped immediately. She resumed barking a few moments later, and when the unit beeped, she stopped again. By the end of the second day, her barking was just about eliminated. Now instead of barking, she just growls. I can live with that. I’m sure different dogs respond to the unit differently and some may not be affected at all, but for my little terrier/”terror,” it’s been great.

Best collar ever!

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar 18 inch Mediumweight Reviews

I was hesitant to get this collar. It looks scary and I was afraid it would hurt my dog. It was my last resort for her “leash aggression”. After just two walks, she is like a different dog! I even bought a smaller one for my other dog who was pulling. She responded immediately. Now both dogs walk perfect! I wish I had bought this a long time ago. Don’t let the looks of it frighten you. Your dog will get the message right away that you mean business. I am getting another dog and will start his training on this collar (the breeder uses it too).

After trying every collar out there…

Premier Gentle Leader Head Dog Collar, Red, Medium Reviews

I’ve tried everything from standard choke chains, prong collars, body harnesses and other more gimmicky collars in an attempt to get my Boxer to stop pulling so excessively when we walk. I can certainly tolerate the occasional pull due to a squirrel or a rabbit, but my dog pulls constantly. So hard, in fact, that she is left gasping for air. With a body harness, she throws up after the walk because of the pressure on her stomach.

The Gentle Leader head harness is the only thing that she responds to. Another reviewer here calls this harness cruel and acts like it’s meant to stop dogs from turning their heads and looking around. In reality, my dog is able to turn her head in any direction she likes, because most of the time there is no external pressure on the harness. A little tug when she walks ahead is all that’s required to remind her to stay by my side.

She does paw at the harness for ten – fifteen seconds a few times per walk, but then it’s over and she gets back to walking like nothing ever happened. This very minor and short-term discomfort is much less traumatic than her self-inflicted choking/throwing up from other collars.

I can’t say enough good things about this collar. Not only is it not cruel, it is the first collar I’ve ever found that protects my dog from the pain she inflicts on herself during a walk.

Finally something that works!!

Dogtra No Bark Dog Collar YS300 For Small to Medium Dogs Reviews

We have tried everything with our wonderful dog who never barks.. except when we leave… we started by giving him chew toys, busy bone, ultrasonic bark device, relaxing music for dogs (I kid you not), a dog collar with a citronelle spray, a fermone spray for his bed, and then we got a different electric collar pet safe which ambed up the shocks which worked somewhat but then our dog would howl when we leave.. it does not zap that kind of noise. After using this for a few years and watching our dog howl more and more when we leave… after another set of batteries ran out… we bought this one and oh my god it actually works. I think it’ the vibration warning a zap is coming which makes it such a success… as it’s a one two punch we needed to calm our dog down. For those of you who think this a bad for you dog… NO.. what is bad for your dog is straining his vocal cords all day and our neighbors nerves. Now he doesn’t even attempt to bark or howl when leave what a huge relief!! Worth every penny… I rarely review items only when they exceed my expectations and when I think someone else could benefit from it! PS it has speed charger just takes two hours to charge!

Great collar, weird mix-up

PetSafe Deluxe Bark Control Collar, PDBC-300 Reviews

I bought one of the collar as pictured directly from the PetSafe website. It was the best I’ve had of three different types of bark collars because it doesn’t fire when the dog shakes his head, and the adjustable dial gives me control over the severity of the “reminder” the dog receives. A school play yard is adjacent to my backyard, and the dogs would bark hysterically whenever the children were outside, driving my wonderful neighbors nuts. It worked so well on my younger Schnauzer that I decided to get another one for the older Schnauzer. The new collar arrived with a different buckle arrangement than the one in the picture. It has the black plastic snap fastener, a metal buckle, holes for the buckle tongue to go through, and a black plastic holder for the excess strap. All this gear on a little mini Schnauzer neck is not a pretty sight! The holder piece broke, so I have to weave the excess strap under the collar so it doesn’t flap around. Now, the good news: Amazon.com is sending me a free replacement, and I don’t have to send back the one I have until the new one arrives! Way to go, Amazon.com!

Just a note for the unaware: smart dogs who really want to bark quickly learn that they can bark through the series of six shocks at the first (mildest) level, then they won’t get shocked again for quite some time. That’s a safety feature built into the collar, and can make one think the collar isn’t working. This particular problem can be overcome by adjusting it up a notch on this collar! A nice feature!

Premier Citronella Spray Refills for Premier Anti-Bark Collars

Premier Citronella Refill for Anti Bark Collar, 3-ounces Reviews

Firstly, we have found Premier brand’s new Citronella battery-operated Anti-Bark Collars with on/off switch for Dogs to be quite efficient a majority of the time, in that Dogs seem to bark more selectively. So, we still have a watch pooch but not a yapping pooch! And, the Citronella Spray Refills are easy to use in refilling the spraying mechanism container on the collar. Do check battery often. Do check collar often to maintain appropriate tightness/looseness so collar does not fall off. Do refill collar at least daily or more often to maintain consistent spraying of Dog when barking to reinforce selective barking habits. Amazon.com carries Premier’s Anti-Bark Collar, Citronella Spray refills and batteries at competitive pricing.

love it

Spray Sense 6 Volt Battery Retail Package Reviews

Worked wonders instantly with my cavalier. Immediate results. I only have to put it on him now and then for a “refresher”. I am still on the first can of spray and the first set of batteries. We have had it for about 3 weeks or so. The only down side is that he got a couple of inadvertant “corrections” for shaking his coat or for someone speaking too close to the microphone. Once you know that though, you can guard against it. He was a little scared at first and hid after he got sprayed but now I guess he gets what causes it. This collar cost about $60.00 less than one I saw at Petsmart that appeared to be the same.
